Israeli occupation forces have intensified their military operations in the northern West Bank, inflicting casualties and detaining locals in the cities of Tulkarm and Nablus.
According to eyewitness accounts, Israeli troops have tightened their siege on Tulkarm’s eastern neighborhood, forcing residents to remain in their homes while raiding businesses and damaging infrastructure. Several Palestinians have also been detained at newly installed checkpoints on the roads connecting Tulkarm to nearby refugee camps.

The situation is dire in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, where residents face shortages of basic supplies as the Israeli forces restrict movement and open fire on anyone trying to leave their homes.
This escalation is part of a broader Israeli occupation military campaign dubbed “Operation Iron Wall” that was launched in January, targeting the Jenin area. The offensive has already displaced over 40,000 refugees from the Jenin, Nur Shams, and Al-Faraa camps, according to UNRWA.
More than half of the 13,000 residents of the Nur Shams refugee camp have fled since the start of the Israeli operation on Saturday. UNRWA’s Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini has warned that this displacement is the largest in the West Bank since 1967.

There are fears that ‘Israel’ is attempting to permanently alter the demographic makeup of the West Bank, as the Knesset recently pushed a bill to rename the territory “Judea and Samaria” in line with the biblical terminology.
The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in 25 Palestinian fatalities so far, with dozens more injured and widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure in the targeted areas.
