Palestinian resistance fighters engaged in fierce clashes with invading Israeli occupation military forces in Tulkarm early Thursday morning, leaving confirmed casualties on the Israeli side.
The al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, reported that their Bal’a company fighters successfully repelled an Israeli incursion into Tulkarm at around 1:58 AM. The confrontation began after the Israeli occupation forces demolished the home of Palestinian detainee Mohammad Talal Abu Yassin.
During the clashes, the Palestinian resistance fighters targeted Israeli infantry units and military vehicles with gunfire and explosive devices near the demolished home, causing injuries to the Israeli occupation soldiers.
At around 2:53 AM, the al-Quds Brigades detonated an explosive device, disabling an Israeli Panther military vehicle in the Wadi Al-Sha’ir area near Anabta, southeast of Tulkarm.

The Israeli military had also stormed the nearby town of Anabta and the village of Bal’a, razing civilian property during the raid. Reports indicate that approximately 30 military vehicles, including two bulldozers, participated in the demolition operation in Bal’a’s western neighborhood.

The targeted building, which consisted of two floors and a storage room, had been the home of the Abu Yassin family. They had been forcibly evacuated following a demolition order issued by the Israeli authorities a week earlier.
The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that Israeli authorities carried out 52 demolitions in November, affecting 63 structures, including 27 homes, 17 agricultural facilities, and other civilian structures.
In a related development, Palestinian media sources reported that Israeli occupation forces have issued expulsion orders to Palestinian families in the Khirbet Tana area, near Beit Furik, east of Nablus, to make way for settlement expansion.
