The northern Gaza Strip is facing a relentless onslaught by Israeli occupation forces, resulting in catastrophic loss of life and a dire humanitarian crisis.
For the 23rd consecutive day, the region has been engulfed in a brutal assault by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), which has persisted for over a year. On Sunday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 40 Palestinians were killed and more than 80 others injured following an Israeli airstrike on a residential area in Beit Lahia.

The IOF bombed homes where forcibly displaced Palestinians, as well as local residents, were taking shelter. This attack has effectively crippled the healthcare system in northern Gaza, with the ministry stating it “does not know the fate of about 300 medical personnel at Kamal Adwan Hospital.”
The Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia has been besieged for several days, trapping 600 individuals, including medical staff and patients. Additionally, the IOF have targeted emergency services, including ambulances and the Civil Defense, further exacerbating the already dire situation.

In a separate incident, 10 more Palestinians were killed and several others wounded when invading Israeli forces bombed a shelter for displaced individuals in the Beit Lahia project. Eyewitnesses reported desperate calls for rescue in the aftermath of the attack.

The onslaught has also extended to other areas of Gaza, with continuous airstrikes and heavy artillery fire reported in the northern regions of Al-Nuseirat camp and the al-Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods in southern Gaza City. Israeli naval vessels have also opened fire on the shores of Al-Qarrara, located in the northwestern part of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The occupation aircraft also launched a raid on Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip. The occupation artillery bombed the vicinity of the Al-Shakoush area west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
The occupation aircraft launched a fire belt north of Gaza at dawn today. In this context, 10 martyrs were killed, others were injured and others were lost in the occupation’s bombing of the Ghabayen family home that shelters displaced people in the Beit Lahia project, and appeals escalated to rescue them.

Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, has said that “the entire population of Gaza is at risk of dying in a genocide that has been announced and executed under our watch.”

A martyr was killed and others were injured in the occupation’s bombing of Salah al-Din School, which shelters displaced people in the vicinity of Palestine Stadium in Gaza City.
Dr. Hassan al-Baba, director of the House of the Holy Quran and Sunnah in Beit Lahia and holder of a doctorate in international law, was martyred in the occupation’s massacre in Beit Lahia last night, joining his mother, sister and two daughters who were martyred two weeks ago.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on northern Gaza has been described as a war of extermination and ethnic cleansing, with the IOF intensifying their ground invasion and bombardment of the region since October 5, 2023, in a bid to forcibly displace the residents.
