In defense of the Palestinian people and fighters, and in response to U.S. and British aggression against Yemen, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a coordinated military operation involving their missile forces, drone air force, and naval units.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahia Saree announced in a statement on Wednesday that the forces targeted the ship “Contship Ono” in the Red Sea after it violated the ban on entering the ports of occupied Palestine.
Brigader Saree also declared that two US destroyers were targeted on the same day, emphasizing that “the drone air force conducted a successful specialized operation, hitting the American destroyer USS Cole in the Gulf of Aden with several drones.”
“In addition, the naval forces executed a high-profile operation targeting the American destroyer USS Laboon with multiple ballistic missiles. The targeting of these two US destroyers occurred while they were transiting through the Yemeni Armed Forces’ operational area towards the northern Red Sea, within the context of American military support for the `Israeli` enemy,” Saree added.
Saree acknowledged that the operations resulted in the destroyers’ failure to fully intercept the missiles and drones, with several achieving their objectives successfully.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces consider all American military movements in the maritime operational area as support for the Israeli enemy and will not hesitate, with God’s help, to target these movements by all available means.”
The Yemeni Armed Forces also called upon all Arab and Islamic nations to support Palestine, Gaza, and the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh by actively rejecting US military movements and all forms of support for the Israeli enemy.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces’ operations in the `promised conquest and sacred jihad` will continue until the aggression ceases and the blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza is lifted,” Saree concluded.
