Israeli occupation army launched Sunday morning a large-scale military operation in Jenin and its camp, leading to confrontations and clashes.
Simultaneously, the forces stormed the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
In Jenin, more than 30 military vehicles, accompanied by bulldozers, entered the city via Nazareth Street and Jenin-Nablus Street. Snipers took positions on the rooftops of several residential buildings. Confrontations erupted between young Palestinians and the occupation forces, who responded with live bullets and gas bombs. The bulldozers began destroying infrastructure along Al-Sikka Street.
In Nablus, the occupation forces stormed the city with several military vehicles, raiding a residential building on Street 24. They also entered the town of Duma, south of Nablus, where military vehicles patrolled the streets. Reports indicated that two individuals were wounded by bullets during confrontations with occupation forces in the Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron.
This marks the second major operation by the occupation forces in Jenin within five days. On May 21, they launched an aggression that lasted 40 hours, resulting in 12 martyrs, including four children, a doctor, and a teacher.
Jenin Brigade Engages Occupation Forces
The Jenin Brigade, part of the Al-Quds Brigades (the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement), announced it was actively confronting the occupation forces in Jenin and its camp. The brigade reported that its fighters targeted occupation vehicles with explosive devices and heavy gunfire.
Media sources confirmed clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and occupation forces in several neighborhoods in Jenin. Resistance factions fired heavy bullets and detonated homemade explosive devices against occupation vehicles. The occupation forces deployed snipers on rooftops and stationed troops throughout various parts of Jenin, including Nablus Street and the vicinity of Jenin Governmental Hospital.

Local media published footage showing Israeli forces deliberately bulldozing infrastructure and vandalizing property during the operation. The scenes highlighted significant destruction in the streets of Jenin camp.
Raids and Arrests
The incursions extended across various governorates of the West Bank, focusing particularly on refugee camps. The occupation forces raided dozens of homes, conducting searches, causing extensive damage, and detaining residents for hours to subject them to field investigations.
Organizations concerned with prisoners’ affairs reported that the occupation forces arrested several Palestinians from the West Bank, transferring them for investigation by Israeli security services on charges of involvement in armed resistance.
In Bethlehem, the forces arrested Abdullah Ahmed Zaoul and Zaki Tayseer Zaoul after raiding their families’ homes in the town of Husan. In Jenin camp, two young men were arrested, though their identities remain unknown. The forces also detained a child and a young man from the village of Jalboun.
The Prisoner’s Club reported the arrests of Taher Shehadeh Abu Al-Rub and Abdul Rahman Ahmed Abu Al-Rub after the storming of Jalboun. Additionally, the forces conducted raids in Ya’bad, Wasilat Al-Dhahr, and Al-Fandqumiya, causing significant damage to a supermarket owned by the Sabri Abu Bakr family.
