Yemeni Armed Forces declared on Saturday two large-scale operations against US ship and warships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
In a statement, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said that the first operation targeted the US bulk carrier, PROPEL FORTUNE, in the Gulf of Aden with naval missiles.
The second operations employed 37 drones and anti-ship cruise missiles against multiple US warships and destroyers in the Red Sea, Brig. Gen. Saree said.
He stressed that the operations “successfully secured their goals.”
The Yemeni Armed Forces, meanwhile, reiterated that they will “persist in upholding military operations in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea until the Israeli aggression is halted and the siege on the oppressed Palestinian people is lifted.”
Earlier on Friday the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operation (UKMTO) reported an attack on a vessel southeast of Aden.
