The Islamic Resistance in Iraq went ahead with strikes against US targets in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
In a statement released on Friday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq declared a drone strike on occupied Ain Al-Assad base in western Iraq.
“Continuing our approach in resisting the American occupation forces in Iraq and the region, and in response to the massacres by the Zionist entity against our people in Gaza, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked the occupied Ain Al-Assad base in western Iraq on Friday, 26-1-2024, using drones,” the statement read.
The Islamic Resistance reiterated, meanwhile, “its commitment to continue striking the enemies’ strongholds.”
The strike on Ain Al-Asad base is the second one on the US base and the third against US targets in the 24 hours. Another drone strike was announced the resistance group.
Meanwhile on Friday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq published a video showing scenes of a drone strike on a US base near Erbil Airport.
