The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have confirmed that three soldiers were killed and three others critically injured during ongoing battles with the Palestinian Resistance in southern and central Gaza. This news comes as a blow to the IOF, as they continue to suffer losses in their confrontations with the Resistance.
The IOF has authorized the release of the names of the fallen soldiers, revealing that two senior officers and a regular soldier were among those killed in action. The soldiers killed during separate battles in the south and central districts of Gaza.
Thursday was a particularly devastating day for the IOF, as they mourned the loss of two officers and a Sergeant First Class. Among the casualties were reserve Captain Neriya Zisk, a company commander in the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, and Major Dvir David Fima, the deputy commander of the 460th Armored Brigade’s 198th Battalion.
With these latest fatalities, the number of Israeli occupation soldiers killed since the beginning of Operation al-Aqsa Flood has now reached 501. Furthermore, since the start of the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip on October 27, a total of 170 Israeli soldiers have been killed.
The toll on Israeli occupation soldiers continues to rise, with an average of 60 new injured soldiers being admitted to the rehabilitation department daily. These figures only account for the wounded from the Israeli army and reserve forces, without including those with regular injuries.
The cumulative numbers since October 7 are staggering: over 5,000 wounded Israeli occupation soldiers have been admitted to hospitals, more than 2,000 have been officially recognized as disabled by the Israeli army and taken in by the Ministry of Security, and an additional 1,000 wounded soldiers are receiving treatment.
Limor Luria, the head of the rehabilitation department at the Ministry of Security, expressed astonishment at the magnitude of the situation, stating that they have never encountered anything similar before. She highlighted that more than 58% of the wounded soldiers taken in by the Ministry have sustained severe injuries to their hands and feet, some even requiring amputations.
The chairman of the IOF Disabled People’s Organization, Attorney Idan Kaliman, expressed concern about the growing number of mentally ill soldiers, noting that it will only worsen as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) takes hold in about a year.
Furthermore, Luria highlighted that the Rehabilitation department is now dealing with an unprecedented number of injured soldiers. She emphasized the need for a new understanding and approach, stating that this is something they had not fully comprehended until now.
Al-Qassam Brigades issued a statement which mentioned that Al-Qassam fighters havs managed to target 20 “Israeli” vehicles infiltrating Deir Al-Balah and Al-Tuffah areas in the past 48 hours, bringing the total number of targeted vehicles in these areas to 72.
“Our fighters engage in fierce clashes in the Sha’af and Jabal Al-Rees areas east of Gaza City, detonating an anti-personnel mine against an Israeli infantry force and targeting another force entrenched in a building with a TBG shell, resulting in a large number of fatalities and injuries.”
The following video shows how Al-Qassam fighters destroy the Israeli enemy’s vehicles and target its soldiers.
Al-Qassam Brigades also displayed the ISraeli drone SkyLark-2 which was downed by Hamas fighters on Thursday in northern Gaza.
