Al-Manar crew has survived on Saturday an Israeli strike on Al-Khardali area in south Lebanon.
Al-Manar correspondent Ali Shoeib and cameraman Khodor Markiz survived the Israeli strike that targeted Al-Khardali Bridge, a vital road that links the southern city of Nabatieh with the border area.
Our crew was on board of a car at the moment of the strike which was also followed by Israeli shelling.
“It’s the first time that the Israeli occupation targets a public road in this area since the start of the aggression,” Al-Manar’s Ali Shoeib said via video link during Al-Manar’s news bulletin on Saturday.
“Our dear colleague Khodor Markiz was lightly injured in his eye by the fragments of the car’s window that shattered after being hit with a shrapnel during the aggression,” our correspondent in south Lebanon said.
Sheoib, meanwhile, stressed that Al-Manar staff will go ahead with their mission to uncover the reality of the Israeli occupation, despite the risks.
“Since day 1 of the war we have been stationed here in south Lebanon to implement our mission, and we will continue to do so despite all challenges,” he added.
