Israeli Occupation Army has confirmed the deaths of four soldiers and the injury of many others during their ground incursions in the Gaza Strip. The news comes as part of the ongoing clashes between the occupying forces and Palestinian resistance groups.
Among the reported casualties are Gideon Elaine, a qualified reservist and fighter in the 2855th battalion of the “HOD ha-Hanit” division (55). Elaine lost his life in a fierce battle in the Gaza Strip. Another reservist, Itay Peri, serving in the 8111th Battalion of The Fifth Brigade (Mechanized Infantry), also fell in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip. Reserve major Evyatar Cohen, a training officer in the same battalion, faced a similar fate. Additionally, major Gal Becher from Oranit lost his life in a military road accident in southern ‘Israel’.
The Israeli Occupation Army has also admitted that a reservist fighter in the 8111th Battalion of The Fifth Brigade (Mechanized Infantry) suffered serious injuries during the battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that while the official figures provided by the Israeli occupation army indicate 1,593 soldiers injured since the start of the war, hospital data indicates a much higher number. Yesterday, the army acknowledged the death of 425 soldiers, including 255 classified as serious injuries, since the war began on October 7. This marks the first time the occupation army has released such data regarding its human losses in the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.
However, reports from the Israeli website “Ynet” suggest that the actual number of wounded soldiers stands at around 5,000, with over 2,000 soldiers already classified as disabled since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza. These figures indicate a significant discrepancy between the information released by the occupation army and the reality on the ground.
Furthermore, yesterday, the Israeli media reported the death of an officer in the occupation army due to injuries sustained during clashes with the Palestinian resistance in the northern Gaza Strip.
