Iranian Foreign Minister Housein Amir Abdollahian on Wednesday arrived in Beirut where he met Lebanese and Palestinian officials.
As he arrived in Beirut International Airport, the top Iranian diplomat stressed that the said that six weeks of epic resistance in Gaza proved that time is not in favor of the fake Israeli regime.
“Without a doubt, the future of Gaza and entire Palestine will be exclusively decided by the Palestinian people,” Abdollahian said, in remarks carried by Al-Manar.
“We’ve heard from the resistance leaders in the region that the hands of the resistance will remain on the trigger until the full rights of the Palestinian people are fully secured.”
“Today, we are in Beirut to discuss with Lebanese officials achieving maximum security in the region,” the Iranian FM added.
Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Ibrahim Al-Moussawi was among a delegation to receive Amir Abdollahian at the airport. He stressed that the Zionist entity couldn’t inflict defeat upon the Palestinian resistance, describing the truce agreement reached on the fighting in Gaza as “a small victory.”
Meanwhile, Khalil Hamdan, Member of Amal Movement’s Presidency Body, lauded the Islamic Republic of Iran for backing the resistance across the region.
“Day after another we get assured of the rightfulness of the resistance path in face of the Israeli occupation.”
For his part, Hamas representative in Lebanon Ahmad Abdulhadi said that the legendary steadfastness of the resistance in the battlefield enabled it to impose the truce deal on the occupation regime
“Today’s visit comes at an important time after which the Palestinian resistance secured major victories over the occupation’s ground aggression.”
Later on Wednesday, Amir Abdollahian met Speaker Nabih Berri and caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati whom he congratulated on the Lebanese Independence Day.
Talks between Speaker Berri and the top Iranian diplomat where centered on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the latest field and political developments in light of Israeli ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese border villages with occupied Palestine, National News Agency reported.
The Iranian foreign minister then held a meeting with senior officials of Palestinian resistance movements in Lebanon, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
In this meeting, the latest developments in Gaza and the imminent cease-fire process in the region was the most important topic discussed, Iranian media reported.
