Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced in the early hours of Saturday it had successfully shot down an Israeli combat drone.

According to a statement released by Hezbollah’s Military Media Center, the drone, identified as an Israeli Hermes 450, was brought down using a surface-to-air missile at 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

The drone was described as a versatile aircraft capable of carrying out a range of missions in combat. The wreckage of the Israeli drone was reportedly witnessed falling over the Galilee Panhandle region.

The statement further emphasized that this operation was conducted in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and aimed to support their courageous and honorable resistance.
