The Iranian foreign minister says that he is in New York to join efforts at the United Nations General Assembly to make the Zionist Israeli regime stop its war crimes in Palestine.
“Efforts are underway to stop the Zionist regime war crimes in Gaza in the United Nations General Assembly,” Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote in a post on his X account on Thursday.
“Today, during the speech, I will express our country’s point of view regarding the developments in Palestine in the United Nations General Assembly. Due to the failure and veto of the proposed resolutions in the Security Council, efforts are being made to issue a resolution in the General Assembly to stop the Zionist war crimes in Gaza and send humanitarian aid to this region,” the top Iranian diplomat added.
He added that the situation in the West Asian region has become volatile due to the slaughtering and genocide of the people of Gaza and the support of the United States and a few European countries to the Zionist regime, and there is a possibility that the situation gets out of control.
“What matters to us is the immediate cessation of war crimes and genocide against the civilian population in Gaza and the West Bank, the immediate and extensive sending of humanitarian aid, and the fight against the forced displacement of Gaza residents, which can be included in the agenda of any resolution,” Amir-Abdollahian further said.
