Bracing for military confrontation, Palestinian resistance has warned the Israeli enemy of the rise of scenarios similar to those that occurred prior to “Seif Al-Quds” (Al-Quds’ Sword) battle in 2021, Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar reported early on Wednesday.
“Contacts between mediators and Palestinian resistance factions increased in the last hours,” Al-Akhbar’s Rajab Al-Madhoun reported, noting that warnings were released by the Palestinian resistance against Israeli plans to slaughter animal sacrifices at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds.
“The resistance was eager to warn of the rise of scenarios similar to those that occurred before “Seif Al-Quds” battle, stressing that slaughtering sacrifices in the mosque is a dangerous cross of the red lines, which will not be tolerated.”
The daily added that the mediators from Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations were exerting efforts to t keep situation between the Israeli enemy and the resistance from exploding.
“In light of this, the resistance is bracing for military intervention, if necessary, with military wings of the Palestinian faction being on alert for any potential confrontation,” Al-Madhoun reported, citing occupation authorities’ tightened grip on Al-Quds through measures aimed at Judaizing the entire city.
Earlier on Tuesday, Nablus-based Lions’ Den resistance group released a statement urging Palestinians to “mobilize and attend the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to confront the settlers’ calls to storm Muslim’s First Qibla.”
It also noted that any Israeli folly in the holy compound would be costly, concluding the statement with a bold and threatening declaration: “We’ll see who will besiege.”
Palestinian threats were followed by a brutal Israeli raid on Palestinian worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, a move that prompted the Gaza-based resistance factions to retaliated with rocket attacks towards the occupied territories.
