Iran has earned as much money from the export of gas in the past four months as it had received during the whole last year, the oil minister said.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Oil Minister Javad Owji said the income generated by the sale of gas in the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21- July 22) has stood at around $4 billion, equal to the total gas export revenues during the year 1400 (March 2021 – March 2022).
In comments on Tuesday, Economy Minister Ehsan Khandouzi said the money generated from the export of crude oil and condensates during the first four months of this year has increased by 580 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.
He also noted that the administration’s tax income in the four-month period has risen by 200 percent in comparison to the past year.
