Iran’s Intelligence Ministry forces in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan have captured three individuals who had links with the Zionist regime’s Mossad spy agency.
The Intelligence Ministry’s office in Sistan and Balouchestan said in a statement that the three arrestees were involved in disseminating classified information and documents.
The prosecutor general of the province announced at a press conference on Tuesday that the arrestees had plans to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.
Mahdi Shamsabadi said the Mossad operatives have been arrested in a complicated intelligence operation and after 8 months of careful monitoring activities.
Ample evidence has been gathered against them, in such a way that they did not make any objection when a warrant for their arrest was issued, he added.
Shamsabadi noted that some members of the ring were arrested in Sistan and Balouchestan, while a number of other members and operatives have been captured outside the province.
“The defendants have confessed that some of them had been in direct contact with Mossad officers,” he stated.
