The spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, General Yahya Sarea, announced on Friday the details of a major offensive against targets in Saudi in response to the Saudi-led siege blocking the oil shipments into Yemen.
In a statement, General Sarea said that three Sammad III drones were launched to strike Aramco refinery in Riyadh, adding that six Sammad I drones were used to strike Aramco facilities in Jizan and Abha as well as other important sites.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
