Commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force Esmaeil Qaani has advised the US to ”get out of the region close to Iran” otherwise it will be expelled in a more shameful way than their experience in Afghanistan.
“We tell US that you still have time to leave the region around us, otherwise you will be expelled in a way worse than the pullout you experienced in Afghanistan,” Qaani said that during a ceremony held to commemorate the martyrdom of one of IRۀC commanders in Fars Province in southwest Iran on Thursday.
The Iranian commander also stressed that Washington “cannot do what it has used to do in the past any longer. The hit-and-run tactics no longer work.”
Qaanai noted that the US Americans fought in Afghanistan for twenty years while achieving nothing, describing its mission in the Asian country as Washington “worst experience.”
The Quds Force commander further said that the US sanctions and threats imposed on the Iranian nation are fruitless.
