The Israeli media outlets reported early Thursday that a missile fell in an open area near Dimona city, which houses the secretive Zionist nuclear facility.
According to the media outlets, the Israeli army called up the reservists just after the occurrence.
The sirens were hear across the Negev and Beersheba areas, the Israeli media outlets added.
The Israeli occupation army said air raid sirens sounded in Abu Qrenat town early Thursday near Dimona, indicating a possible attack on the area.
A Reuters reporter about 90 km (56 miles) away from Abu Qrenat heard the sound of an explosion minutes before the military’s text message.
