Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hasan stressed on Friday that measures will be taken against all those who monopolize medicine in the country.
As he toured drug warehouses in Baabda district, Minister Hasan said raids show that there is discretion and a monopoly on some types of medicine.
“We will take immediate measures against anyone who tampers with people’s health,” he was quoted as saying by National News Agency.
“Medicines subsidized by the Central Bank of Lebanon are found in the warehouses, and we will take measures to ensure an equitable distribution of the medicine to all regions,” the minister asserted.
