Syrian Air Force fighter jets targeted and completely destroyed a major cache containing various types of munitions belonging to Takfiri terrorists during an operation in the country’s northwestern province of Idlib.
The Arabic service of Russia’s Sputnik news agency, citing local sources, reported that the military aircraft struck the arms depot of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group on the outskirts of Binnish city, located just north of Idlib city, on Monday.
The report added that the airstrikes resulted in successive explosions, and totally ruined the weapons warehouse.
A local source said the air raids were carried out after Syrian Air Force reconnaissance drones detected the site, where militant groups stockpiled ammunition.
The source pointed out that more than 20 people were killed or injured in the airstrikes and ensuing explosions.
Elsewhere in the northeastern province of Deir Ezzor, Syrian army forces found a large cache of weapons belonging to ISIL terrorists, who had left the southern parts of the province following government’s military progress in the region.
