Lebanese President Michel Aoun chaired on Thursday a financial meeting at Baabda Presidential Palace on the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.
National news agency reported that Aoun “has been presiding since 9:00 am on Thursday a financial meeting in the presence of Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, Minister of Finance, Ghazi Wazani, Central Bank Governor, Riad Salameh, Director General of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Antoine Choucair, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, Alain Biffani, and other senior officials.”
The meeting broaches the progress of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund over the government’s financial recovery plan, NNA added.
Ahead of the meeting President Aoun sat with PM Diab in which the pair discussed general developments.
