Higher Education Minister, Tarek Al-Majzoub, announced, in a statement from the Governmental Serail on Sunday, that he has proposed “canceling the 2020 round of high school exams in all branches, based on specific regulations and completing the school year.”
“All students are promoted to the higher grade according to regulations, and for universities we will present a special mechanism for distance education,” Majzoub said.
He also announced the postponement of the re-opening of schools and specialized centers for people with special needs until a date to be determined by the Education Ministry.
“Preserving people’s lives is a priority, and we will make up for what we lost during the upcoming academic year,” confirmed Majzoub.
