Israeli warplanes attacked with a missile early Wednesday a Palestinian car in the central Gaza Strip without causing any casualties.
The attack came after a night of Israeli strikes at different locations in Gaza and Palestinian retaliation with rocket fire at Israeli locations bordering the Gaza Strip.
The Zionist entity claimed the strikes were aimed at Palestinians involved in firing flammable balloons at the occupying entity that have been causing fire in the fields.
Palestinian sources said the hit vehicle belonged to one of the Hamas resistance group’s field commanders and was parked in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp. There were no casualties reported, indicating the car was empty at the time.
The Palestinian factions in Gaza said they are going to respond with rocket fire to Israeli air strikes on Gaza.
Later, Israeli media said rocket sirens blared throughout the predawn hours of Wednesday morning in the Zionist communities surrounding the Gaza Strip as Palestinians launched over a dozen rockets at the southern territories.
The alarms rang out throughout the Eshkol, Sha’ar Hanegev, Sdot Negev and Hof Ashkelon regions, several times, sending thousands of Israelis running into bomb shelters.
Hamas said its military wing was retaliating against Israeli fire against Palestinian civilians. “The occupation’s escalation and its targeting of the peaceful Palestinian protesters as well as the Palestinian fighters prompted (an) immediate response,” Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said.
“Every silly measure taken by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians proves the failure of the Israeli policies and miscalculation of the Israeli plans,” Barhoum added in an English-language statement.
