Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri said that meeting with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah last Friday was excellent.
“Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and I completely agree with each others on most of the topics: the regional and the local ones, with priority given to the speedy formation of the government,” Berri told Lebanese reporters in remarks published by several Lebanese newspapers.
“Sayyed Nasrallah and I are two bodies with one heart.”
Meanwhile, the Lebanese speaker stressed the need to counter corruption in the country, noting that corruption represents a real threat to the Lebanese state.
Berri meanwhile, noted that he was open to the formation of a 32-minister Cabinet, if necessary.
On Hezbollah’s representation in the next government, Berri said: “Hezbollah will not have impossible demands, but the [party] will have its ministerial share, given that it’s a strong force in the country.”
