Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Wednesday urged Muslim states to become united against common threats.
‘If Muslim countries want to become successful, they should unite and move in the same direction,’ Larijani said, referring the Zionist regime’s atrocities against Palestinians in recent days following the US move to recognize Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the Israeli capital.
“If Muslim states, who spent money to satisfy their western allies, had spent the same money to fight western colonialism, the Zionist regime would not dare to take such measures today,” the Iranian speaker said.
US colonialism is one of the root causes of terrorism, Larijani noted.
US President Donald Trump’s Dec 6 announcement to recognize Quds as the capital city of the Zionist regime has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from the US allies.
Following the decision by the US, clashes erupted in the occupied lands and thousands of Palestinians were injured and several others were martyred.
