Iran President Hasan Rouhani said relations between Tehran and Ankara have entered a new phase.
“Our relations with Turkey has entered a new phase and in this trip we discussed Erdogan’s visit to Tehran,” Rouhani told the media upon arrival to Tehran from a visit to Kazakhstan.
“In meeting with Turkish president, we reviewed the new window opened upon bilateral relations of the two countries,” the Iranian president said, when questioned about his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“A new area has been opened in military and security cooperation between the two countries.”
The Iranian President made the remark upon arrival to Mehrabad international Airport of Tehran where he was welcomed by his First-Veep Jahangiri, Intelligence Minister Alavi, Foreign Minister Zarif, and Leader’s aide Velayati.
Touching upon the title of the summit, science and technology, Rouhani said, “science and technology is of prime importance for the progress of countries, might of Islamic countries, and resolution of Islamic world problems.”
