The US is unable to take any measure against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said late Thursday.
“The US is unable to do any move against Iran and is pinned,” said Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami, on Thursday in Kerman at an event held to commemorate martyrs from the southern provinces of Iran.
“If today, on this wavy sea of fire and blood the numerous enemies of minor and major size have lined up to target the security of country, the independence of the nation, personality, credit, and dignity of the country, but are unable to do anything, it is because of the sacrifice of martyrs,” Mehr news agency quoted the commander as saying.
He described the today’s might and honor of the Iranian nation against the US owed to the big test of the sacred defense in the war against Saddam in 1980-88.
“Take a look at the political geography of the world to find a country which has withstood the US pressure for 38 years,” affirmed the Iranian senior commander, “the US which was able to defeat a superpower as big as the former USSR and is still the number one force in the fields of military, economy, politics, and culture.”
“The US, which has manipulated some regimes in the world, has conquered some big countries, and has dismantled some superpowers, however, is pinned along the Iranian nation and has no option except those on papers,” underlined the commander.
