Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei urged the Iranian administration to show strength and resolve in the face of hegemonic powers, the US in particular.
Despite enemy attempts to isolate Iran, the nation is not isolated and continues to cooperate with the world, while confronting the hegemonic powers as well, Ayatollah Khamenei said on Thursday during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s endorsement ceremony.
The Leader officially authorized President Hassan Rouhani to take the office for the second time in the ceremony in the capital, Tehran, attended by senior Iranian and foreign officials.
Describing the US as the most aggressive state in the world, Ayatollah Khamenei called on the administration to show strength and steadfastness in the face of such regimes.
“Today, Iranians have learned how to take measures concerning the enemy’s plots and Iranian officials know how to deal with the enemy.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also said, “Coincidence of the endorsement ceremony with birth anniversary of Imam Rida (AS) brings dignity and consolation for the loving hearts of Iranians.
“The meeting has twofold importance: first, it’s the start of a new management term for Iran; secondly, it’s a symbol of democracy”.
During the event, Rouhani received his validation edict from the Leader and was officially validated into the office for the second time.
In Iran’s presidential election on May 19, Rouhani garnered 23,549,616 votes from a total of 41,220,131 ballots. The runner-up, Ebrahim Raisi, secured 38.5% of the votes.
