Iranian official revealed on Tuesday that four Iranian diplomats abducted in Lebanon in 1982 are currently kept in Israeli jails and there is no evidence proving their martyrdom.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs in Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, made the remarks on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
He urged the UN and Red Cross Society to seriously resume their efforts to determine the fates of Mohsen Mousavi, Ahmad Motavasselian, Kazem Akhavan and Taqi Rastgar-Moqaddam.
The Iranian diplomat added that the country’s Majlis will soon begin new measures in line with attempts to determine the fates of the revolutionary diplomats and journalist.
Three Iranian diplomats as well as a reporter of IRNA were abducted in Lebanon on July 4, 1982. None of them have been seen since.
