The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution calling on the Israeli occupation to comply with the International Court of Justice’s ruling and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The resolution requires the Israeli occupation entity to provide food, water, medicine, and shelter to Gaza’s population and prohibits any obstruction of relief operations in the besieged territory.
The General Assembly stressed that the measure also urges Israel to halt the displacement and starvation of civilians and to refrain from restricting the work of the United Nations. It further reaffirms the UN’s responsibility toward the Palestinian cause until a comprehensive solution is achieved.
The vote comes as the Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and impede the flow of aid that was stipulated under the accord.
The recent severe weather has exposed the extreme vulnerability of humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
Heavy rainfall flooded thousands of displacement tents, submerged streets, and left many families trapped inside waterlogged shelters.

Humanitarian Catastrophe Intensifies
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has escalated amid ongoing Israeli aggression and a severe winter storm. The Ministry of Health reported 4 deaths and 10 injuries in the past 24 hours, warning that numbers may rise due to victims still trapped under rubble and in the streets. Since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, 383 Palestinians have been killed and 1,002 injured, while the total toll of the Israeli assault since October 7, 2023, stands at 70,373 dead and 171,079 injured, with 627 bodies recovered from under debris.
The harsh cold has claimed 11 additional lives, including infants and children, due to the lack of heating in destroyed homes and tents. Thousands of families face severe exposure, and the winter storm has worsened the situation, causing multiple fatalities from collapsed homes and flooded shelters. Emergency teams have documented at least ten house collapses in recent hours, with ongoing evacuations in northern Gaza areas, including Sheikh Radwan and Al-Karama.
