The Israeli occupation continued its brutal war of genocide and starvation on the Gaza Strip, with local reports confirming dozens of new fatalities on Thursday, many of whom were already suffering from severe hunger.
According to sources in the besieged strip, 64 martyrs, most of them starving in the central Gaza Strip, have been martyred since dawn. The ongoing assault has seen the Israeli occupation military commit several massacres, including one that wiped out a single family. A targeted strike on a home west of Deir al-Balah claimed the lives of seven martyrs—a mother and her six children.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, in its daily statistical report, provided a grim tally of the devastation. It announced that 42 martyrs and 190 injured had arrived at hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours.

These latest casualties contribute to a staggering overall toll. The Ministry states that the death toll from Israel’s genocidal war has now reached 66,097, with 168,536 wounded since the conflict erupted on October 7, 2023. Since the resumption of intensive hostilities on March 18, the figures have risen to 13,229 killed and 56,495 injured.

A particularly harrowing aspect of the crisis is the fate of those seeking life-saving aid. The Health Ministry reported that 5 martyrs and 56 injured arrived at hospitals in the last day while waiting for humanitarian assistance. This brings the total number of what local authorities term “living martyrs”—those killed or wounded while seeking aid—to 2,576 dead and more than 18,873 wounded.
