Despite the concentration on the developments of the war on Gaza, the Israeli media followed up carefully and hailed the decision taken by the Lebanese cabinet to confine weapons to state agencies before the end of the year.

The Zionist circles described the decision as a historic turning point for  the Lebanese state’s attitude towards Hezbollah, considering that it is a major achievement for the US policy in Lebanon.

The Israeli media also reflected the enemy’s hopes for further anti-Hezbollah moves that may lead to a military confrontation in Lebanon.

The Zionist circles cast doubt on the possibility of the implementation of the Lebanese government decision after the failure of Israeli war to disarm Hezbollah.

The Lebanese government on Tuesday tasked the army with drafting a plan to confine all weapons to the state by the end of the year, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced.
