The military wing of Hamas resistance movement, Al-Qassam Brigades, ambushed an Israeli military unit east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Al-Qassam Brigades fighters fired an anti-personnel shell at the occupation force before clashing directly with the enemy troops, according to a statement issued by Hamas military wing.
Al-Qassam fighters also targeted two Israeli tanks and military bulldozer near the fence in Faraheen area, Khan Younis, with Al-Yassein shells.
Meanwhile, Gaza Health Ministry announced that the Israeli aggression has so far claimed over 52,500 lives, left more than 118,000 injured since October 7, 202.
In this regard, six civilians were killed on Monday evening in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a vehicle in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces struck a civilian vehicle near the al-Nuwairi Tower, west of the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip, resulting in the killing of six people.
Eleven Palestinian citizens, including a child, were killed Monday in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip, and an infant died of malnutrition.

Israeli security cabinet, under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership, has authorized a gradual expansion of military operations in Gaza, according to sources cited by Israeli public broadcaster Kan.
