Israel’s security cabinet, under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership, has authorized a gradual expansion of military operations in Gaza, according to sources cited by Israeli public broadcaster Kan.
The Israeli occupation military has begun mobilizing tens of thousands of reservists, confirmed Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir in a recent statement. “We are increasing the pressure with the goal of returning our captives and defeating Hamas,” Zamir told troops.
Netanyahu convened the security cabinet to discuss “the next stage” of the Gaza war shortly after a missile launched by Yemeni Armed Forces landed near Ben Gurion Airport, Israel’s main international gateway.

‘Israel’ resumed ground operations in Gaza this March after abandoning a US-backed ceasefire that had temporarily halted hostilities for two months. Since then, Israeli occupation forces have seized control of approximately one-third of Gaza’s territory, while Palestinian Resistance groups continue to mount opposition and warn they stand ready to respond to further escalation.
The humanitarian situation grows increasingly dire as ‘Israel’ maintains an aid blockade imposed in March, despite international pressure to lift restrictions. More than 2.3 million Palestinians now depend on severely limited aid supplies, with conditions deteriorating rapidly.
A picture speaking volumes.
