Israeli occupation forces carried out new attacks along Lebanon’s southern frontier on Sunday, part of the near-daily violations that continue to heighten tension across the border—on the very day Pope Leo XIV arrives in Beirut carrying a message of peace for Lebanon and the region.
In the town of Shebaa, Israeli fire targeted an excavator operating in the Wastani neighborhood, damaging the machine and striking a parked car nearby.
Further west, Israeli aircraft dropped three stun grenades near Lebanese fishermen off Ras Al-Naqoura, forcing them to withdraw from the shoreline.
Israeli occupation forces also fired illumination shells toward the “Wadi Mezlem” area on the outskirts of Beit Lif, lighting up the valley as part of continued aggression on border communities.
