They unanimously called for respecting Syria’s sovereignty and protecting its borders from external threats or incursions. Iran’s Foreign Minister Araqchi reiterated their shared stance, demanding an immediate end to the occupation of Syrian territories and the restoration of security throughout the war-torn nation.
Araqchi also acknowledged Oman’s pivotal role in facilitating the exchange of messages between Iran and third parties, particularly during the nuclear negotiations. However, he clarified that no specific message was exchanged during the Omani foreign minister’s current visit, and any future communications would be conducted through the Swiss embassy when necessary.
