In light of the recent threats made by the Israeli officials against Lebanon accompanied by a considerable escalation of the border battle with Hezbollah, the Israeli media questioned the feasibility of this rhetoric amid the Zionist incapability of confronting the huge arsenal of the Lebanese Resistance.
Out of keenness on the Zionist interests, the US officials called on their counterparts in Tel Aviv to shun any all-out war with Hezbollah, according to the Israeli media.
U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein will arrive in the region carrying the following message: “Refrain from escalation” against Hezbollah, Israeli Channel 12 reported.
“Hochstein will carry a U.S. message to the political leadership in ‘Israel’, asking it not to go to an adventure in the north because it will be very costly,” Channel 12 added.
“Hochstein will exert an extra effort to reach a settlement in the north, but the problem is that such a settlement is also linked to a ceasefire in Gaza,” the channel said.
Meanwhile, US officials have confirmed that the USS Theodore Roosevelt is heading home after its extended deployment in the Middle East.
US had beefed up its military presence in the region to defend the Zionist entity against any attack, especially after the Israeli assassination of the former Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. Thus, this move may have remarkable reflections on the developments of the confrontation.
Hezbollah has been attacking the Israeli occupation sites and settlements near Lebanon border in support of Gaza since the beginning of the Zionist war on the Strip last October. The Israeli officials frequently escalate the rhetoric of threats against Lebanon and Hezbollah; however, all their threats have gone in vain.
