The Zionist media outlets and analysts said that the PM Benjamin Netanayhau failed to obtain Russian approval on the Israeli air strikes against targets in Syria.
The outlets added that the Israeli ambassador to Moscow underwent an unkind session with the Russian officials at the foreign ministry, noting that he was informed about the clear Russian rejection to the recent air strikes on Syria’s Palmyra.
The Zionist analysts pointed out that Russia condemned the Israeli public announcement about the operation, striking targets near to the Russian positions and intercepting the Russian air-defense missile S-200.
Russia has set new limits for the Israeli role in Syria, the Zionist analysts concluded.
Syria’s army said Friday it shot down an Israeli plane that had been carrying out pre-dawn raids on a military target near Palmyra.
“Four Israeli planes penetrated our air space at 2:40 am (0040 GMT) via Lebanese territory and hit a military target on the way to Palmyra,” the army said in a statement carried by state news agency SANA.
