Tensions in the occupied West Bank have reached a boiling point, with fierce clashes erupting in Jenin and a sweeping arrest campaign leaving residents on edge.
Monday morning saw Israeli occupation forces withdraw from the town of Jama’in, south of Nablus, after an extended raid that resulted in numerous Palestinian homes being raided and many arrests made. Eyewitnesses reported heavy military presence as well as aggressive tactics by the “army” during their operation.

Meanwhile, further south, near the city of Jenin itself, there were reports from Israeli media about an exchange of fire between resistance fighters and occupation army members at Qabatiya. The “Walla” website noted that the area had members of Kharroub patrol and border guards but did not mention any casualties.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Jenin, a major resistance group has however confirmed its engagement in these fierce clashes revealing that its fighters fought heavily against Israel’s storm to Qabatiya.
This escalation of violence is part of Israel’s ongoing aggression against West Bank intensified shortly after October 7th 2023 marking one month since brutal attacks on more than ten settlers were launched by Palestinians.
