The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas issued late Tuesday a statement to announce it delivered its response to Gaza ceasefire agreement proposal to the Egyptian and Qatari mediators after holding consultations with all the resistance factions.
The statement indicated that Hamas dealt with the proposal positively as long as it secures the end of the aggression on Gaza, relief, shelter, reconstruction, lift of the siege on the Strip, and completion of the prisoner swap.
Hamas appreciated the role of the “brothers” in Egypt, Qatar, and all countries that seek to stop the brutal aggression against Gaza.
Saluting the legendary steadfastness of the Gazans and their valiant resistance, Hamas affirmed it would continue, along with all the resistance factions, defending the Palestinian people till achieving liberation of the occupied territories and restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
For his part, Qatar’s prime minister Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al Thani confirmed receiving Hamas response, indicating that it includes notes and reflects positivity in general.
The Qatari official said that more talks will be underway in order to reach a ceasefire agreement.
On the other hand, the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he would discuss Hamas response with the Israeli officials.
