The mayor of Kiryat Shmona said that Israeli settlers will not return to the Zionist entity’s north as long as Hezbollah’s Radwan Unit is on the border.
“Nearly 90% of the city’s residents have evacuated and are scattered throughout the country,” Avichai Stern told the Kan public broadcaster on Sunday.
“As long as the Radwan Unit is on the border, we will not return to our home,” he said, referring to the resistance group’s elite unit.
“If necessary, I will block the entrance with my body.”
Earlier on Saturday, The Wall Street Journal reported that the number of Israeli settlers displaced from north of occupied Palestine has reached 230,000.
Fears have been mounting among Zionist settlers in northern occupied Palestine as Hezbollah continues to carry out daily operations, Israeli media reports, quoting Israeli analysts as saying that there are no signs that the Lebanese resistance group is deterred by any actions the occupation army is taking.
