According to military sources, this ruthless operation occurred during the afternoon hours on Tuesday. Officers and soldiers from the Golani Brigade entered a building in the Shujaiya neighborhood and were suddenly ambushed. Gunfire erupted at close range, accompanied by the detonation of an explosive device, severing communication with the trapped troops.
The sources further revealed that some soldiers entered a neighboring booby-trapped building, resulting in an explosion that claimed several lives. Even during the airborne rescue operation to evacuate the injured, another explosive device was detonated, claiming the lives of two officers.
The al-Qassam Brigades, in response, announced that their fighters targeted seven military vehicles, including the heavily fortified “King-commander” tank and a troop carrier containing three occupation soldiers, resulting in the death of the entire crew. They also engaged in fierce clashes with the soldiers from the rescue teams, eliminating a number of them. Notably, a Zionist sniper was targeted and neutralized using an RPG missile during these intense confrontations.
The brave resistance fighters from the al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that they encountered the enemy troops directly in various areas, engaging in fierce confrontations at point-blank range. This led to the death of eleven Israeli occupation soldiers.
