Early on Sunday morning, Israeli occupation forces launched a widespread operation to detain Palestinian young people in the occupied city of Al-Quds. Clashes erupted at Al-Sahira Gate in the Old City, and near Al-Majlis Gate.
Reports from the region show that Israeli occupation forces arrested several young people from the neighborhoods of Bab Hutta, Bab Al-Sahira, Bab Al-Asbat, Al-Saadia, and the Old City. The local sources narrated that the Israeli occupation soldiers captured the young people and took them to an undisclosed location after assaulting them and restraining their hands.
Israeli occupation forces also mobilized close to Al-Aqsa Mosque, where Palestinian young people faced off against them at Bab Al-Sahira. In addition, on the way to Jaba’ checkpoint in the town of Al-Ram, Israeli occupation forces detained Mohammad Jaradat, a Palestinian youth. These actions come hot on the heels of events that happened on Saturday, where Israeli occupation forces prevented Christian pilgrims from attending the Holy Fire ceremony within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Old City in Al-Quds.
