Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that reviving hope and trust in the Iranian people is the most significant achievement of the Iranian government under President Ebrahim Raisi.
The Leader made the remarks during a meeting with President Raisi and his cabinet ministers in Tehran on the occasion of National Government Week.
Ayatollah Khamenei also praised President Raisi’s provincial visits, noting that 31 visits in the first year of the government have provided a ground for better supervision over different affairs of the country.
The Leader said that relying on local capabilities and avoiding making important decisions subject to measures by others was another major step by the incumbent government.
Ayatollah Khamenei also urged the president and his cabinet ministers to fulfill their commitments and refrain from making hollow promises which he believed would damage people’s trust.
The Leader stressed that the economy remains the main issue of the country while noting that it does not translate into ignoring other issues like science, security, and social and cultural problems as well.
Ayatollah Khamenei also reiterated that production is the key factor to economic growth and that the government should resolutely fight against any factor undermining production.
The Supreme Leader also touched upon the global food crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and said that food security is an urgent issue that should not be neglected.
