The Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri rejected Tuesday Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s proposal for turning the convening legislative session into a confidence session.
Meanwhile, the parliament endorsed a bill which aims to extend the mandate of municipal and mukhtar councils for a period of one year.
The House has also approved the student dollar law and the funds to cover the upcoming legislative elections’ expenses.
After endorsing a number of draft laws, Speaker Berri adjourned the parliament’s plenary session due to lack of quorum.
