Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, on Monday welcomed a delegation from Iran’s national navigation company to discuss the means of cooperation.
After the meeting, Dr. Hamieh stressed that Lebanon the decision to activate the navigational cooperation with Iran has been taken, adding that the Iranian cargo ships must be allowed to dock at the Lebanese seaports.
Hamieh noted that the Iranian ships are allowed to dock at the seaports of numerous Mediterranean countries, wondering why the Lebanese authorities do not welcome them.
Meanwhile, the head of the Iranian delegation, Mohammad Ali Nasseri, underlined full readiness to cooperate with Lebanon in the navigation and trade domains.
