The Iranian foreign minister, Hussein Amir Abdollahian, arrived Thursday in Beirut after he had left the Syrian capital of Damascus, briefing the reporters at Rafik Hariri International Airport.
Abdollahian indicated that he would meet the senior Lebanese officials to discuss the latest political developments with them, highlighting the friendly and constructive ties between the two nations.
The Iranian top diplomat recalled that he had offered Lebanon’s prime minister Najib Mikati constructing two power plants that could generate 1000 MW each.
Abdollahian was welcomed at the airport by representatives of the senior officials and Hezbollah Secretary General as well as the Iranian ambassador to Beirut.
