President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, visited on Saturday Bkirki to felicitate Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, on Christmas.
The pair then held a closed meeting prior to Christmas Mass service.
After the meeting, President Aoun did not make any statement. “We hope to celebrate in better conditions, and I apologize for not making any statement today. We’ll meet on Monday and then we’ll talk,” he said.
