The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on ًTuesday its daily report in which it announced 1806 new coronavirus cases, raising total to 703555.
The report added that 23535 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 650789.
According to the report, 15 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 8965.
Meanwhile, President Michel Aoun called on the Supreme Defense Council to convene at Baabda Palace in order to discuss the remarkable increase in the number of the coronavirus cases in the country.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut gradually.
